Why the Festival of 50?
Festival of 50 began as a way to mark me turning 50 in May.
But somewhere along the way, it became something bigger.
​
Because I kept meeting women who were asking similar questions. Women who were trying new things. Questioning old expectations. Changing priorities. Rediscovering themselves. Starting businesses. Learning new skills. Travelling. Saying yes to opportunities they might once have talked themselves out of.
Not because anyone had all the answers. Simply because they knew they weren't finished yet. I realised those conversations deserved a place of their own.
A place where women could hear different perspectives, discover new ideas, share their experiences and realise they weren't the only one.

So the Festival was born.
