All That I Am - A Discovery That Stirred My Soul

Not long ago, I came across a word I’d never heard before—Omnist. It means someone who sees value, truth, or wisdom in all religions. Someone who doesn’t follow one specific path but honours many ways of connecting to the sacred.

And honestly? It got me thinking. Not necessarily thinking “This is what I am”—but gently reflecting: Have I always lived this way without realising it?

Because when I look at my spiritual journey, it’s never fit into one box. I’ve been deeply moved by peaceful presence, the power of compassion and forgiveness, teachings of unity and oneness, heartfelt devotion, and the reverence for land, ancestors, and spirit.  Each of these threads has spoken to my soul in different ways.

And yet, none of them fully define me. I’m simply someone who believes in love, energy, connection—and that we are all part of something bigger.

When my dad passed away, my spirituality became more than just something I believed in—it became something I leaned into. Something that held me.

Grief cracked my heart open in a way I didn’t expect. But rather than feeling like everything ended, I felt more deeply that life continues—just in a different form. I believe we are reincarnated into new bodies, new lifetimes, with new lessons to learn. That death is not the end, but a transformation.

And that belief gave me comfort I can’t quite explain.

A huge part of this journey has been discovering Reiki.

Reiki has no dogma. It’s not about religion or belief—it’s simply about energy. Love. Presence. It helped me feel connected when I felt lost, and it continues to support me—especially in recent years as the world has shifted and challenged us all in such big ways.

Through Reiki, I came to feel what I always believed: that we are all connected. Not just as people, but with all living things—animals, plants, the Earth itself. Our energy ripples out and affects the collective.

And this isn’t just a spiritual idea—it’s something science is beginning to echo too. Quantum physics has shown that everything is energy. That everything is connected. Even Einstein spoke about this interconnectedness:

“A human being is a part of the whole called by us Universe, a part limited in time and space. He experiences himself, his thoughts and feelings as something separated from the rest... a kind of optical delusion of his consciousness.”— Albert Einstein

In other words: we often believe we are separate, but that's only how it appears on the surface. At the deepest level — beyond the mind, beyond the body — we are all threads of the same cosmic tapestry. One energy. One source. One unfolding.

I never thought I would teach Reiki. For a long time, I felt the overwhelm of trying to “fix” everything in the world. I’d go down rabbit holes that left my soul tired. But eventually I realised: I can’t change everything. I can only truly impact what is directly around me.

And that became one of the reasons I chose to teach. Because if I could support others to feel the ripple of healing, they might go on to pass it forward—offering Reiki to others, living in alignment with the principles, perhaps even becoming teachers themselves one day, when the time is right.

That’s how we lift the collective. One soul at a time.

And one day, if and when they’re ready, I hope to attune my children to Reiki too. Only if it calls to them - only when their own divine timing arrives.

So maybe I could be an Omnist. Or, maybe I’m just someone who believes in curiosity, compassion, and connection over certainty.

While these beliefs light my own path, I hold the deepest respect for those who are devoted to a single faith tradition. There is so much beauty in every sacred path, and I truly honour anyone who walks theirs with love and sincerity.

Because at the end of the day, it’s not about the label. It’s about the feeling. The knowing. The remembering that we are all part of something sacred.

And if we can raise ourselves—through healing, through presence, through love—we raise each other.

We raise the collective.

And that, to me, feels like the most beautiful kind of spiritual path.

I was inspired to write this post, not just because I discovered what an Omnist was, but because of several conversations and experiences I have had recently which all lead to elements of this blog.

The blog has also inspired me to record a free meditation - designed to connect yourself to all that you are, you can find it here, (scroll to the end of the page).

I would love to know your thoughts on this post - please leave a comment if you feel called to.

With love,

Emma 💚✨
